When Macs Hosted Their Curve Campaign

When Macs Hosted Their Curve Campaign

We at Macs feel very strongly about promoting body confidence. It is so important that us, as woman, support and love ourselves as well as each other!

We held a Curve Campaign so show off that all shapes and sizes are just gorgeous! Body shaming on the internet, comments we here about the way people look and dress is disgusting and has to stop. We want to show off self love and confidence in our own skin.

On the run up to our event we had confidence coaching and hypnotherapy by the one and only Ann Currie Coaching. A couple of sessions were down and we could see the change in our models straight away. Also our models had a hair make over by our Artistic Director Sophie.

Fast forward to our big day! It all started in the salon where our models were given the VIP treatment. Hair prep by myself followed by Sophie creating gorgeous styles. Glamour Gran Ann and her team of make up artists painted our girls faces with some sparkly glitter and smokey eyes.

We then headed over to Wild Cabaret in Merchant city to practice on the catwalk and have one last coaching session.

It was then time. the lights dimmed, our host started and the crowd was ready to see our newly found confident models strut their stuff!

We started with Little Mix Salute to come onto the stage- “Representing all the woman, Salute!!”

Our first catwalk was to designer Marc Ross.

Our next shop was Pink Poodle, located in Cresswell Lane- just a few shops up from Macs.

And last but by no means least we had Cissonia, located in De Courcy’s Arcade- just above the salon.

We had the amazing vocals by Natalie from McCallum School of Music performing at our event.

What an amazing night! It was just brilliant. And of course we stayed at the end of a wee party and celebration drinks!

And in true Macs style we were also raising money for some wonderful charities- Bloodwise, Spina Bifida Scotland and Young Deaf Activites. We are so so pleased to say we raised £230 for each charity with our tickets and raffle.
